Queen duvet cover (88" x 88") featuring the image "Tall case clock face, around 1816" by James Lane. Artist's Description

This tall-case clock, dating from 1814-1818, was made by Philadelphia clock maker James Lane. It is one of the first pieces ever to be acquired by the Athenaeum and still keeps time today in the Members' Reading Room.
